I'm Mónica, colombian dancer, fire dragon./

What's your work about? / ¿De qué se trata tu obra?
Almost always it's about situations, conscientious and otherwise, about my
life. At other times it's about the lives of others./
Casi siempre de situaciones conscientes o no de mi propia vida. Las
otras veces de la vida de otros.
How do you do it? / ¿Cómo lo haces?
An idea emerges and I work alone or with my friends; then we
squeeze each other for more ideas and something always comes out of that./
Emerge una idea, la desarrollo sola o con amigos, con los cuales nos
exprimimos mutuamente y de alli siempre sale algo.
Why do you do it? / ¿Por qué lo haces?
Sometimes because it makes me feel good with myself and because I
enter other spheres of understanding; sometimes because I need the money./
Casi siempre, porque me hace sentir bien conmigo misma y porque entro
en otras esferas de entendimiento. otras veces por plata.
What artists have influenced you and why? / ¿Qué artistas influyen
en tu obra y por qué?
That depends of the work and the things i'm reading or going through in a specific moment.. My favorites:
Pina Bausch, DV8 and Decouffle./
Depende de la obra y de lo que esté leyendo en ese momento o viviendo
